Gene Nichols
Named News Director in 2005, Gene Began his radio career nearly 20 years ago. Since that time, he has worked at National Public Radio and Commercial Radio Stations.
A graduate of Long Beach State College, Gene had his first radio assignment at KFWB 980AM in Los Angeles. Gene's first on-air job was as a Disc Jockey in Central California. The station owner realized that this was not where Gene's talent was and had him record late-night newscasts for the station.
Gene then headed east where he wrote and anchored morning newscasts and served as play-by-play announcer for local sports teams. In the early 90's, Gene traveled with the Connecticut Huskies Radio network as a producer.
In 1998, after a 6-year hiatus from radio, Gene came to the Coachella Valley to restart his broadcasting career. He has been doing radio news, here in the Coachella Valley ever since. Gene's news expertise and professionalism makes him a great addition to the RR Broadcasting News team.
Gene's other accomplishments are writing for the Press Enterprise Newspaper and as Radio News Anchor for KFI, AM-640 in Los Angeles.

Steve Kelly brings a unique insight into local news. Steve
got his start in news covering the John Anderson for President
campaign in 1980, for American Public Radio (a forerunner
for NPR).
Steve
has a great sense for new. "He's an investigative newsman
and he knows where all the bodies are buried", says General
Manager Mike Keane.

newscasts in Los Angeles. Johnny set up a local news operation
in the San Gabriel Valley, where he was News Director. With
over 40 years of broadcast news experience, Johnny Bruce has
been a radio Newscaster in Los Angeles, San Bernadino, The
San Gabriel Valley and Riverside.
Johnny
is a broadcast professional with a nose for news. He's been
part of Coachella Valley radio since 1988. He and his wife
Jillayne enjoy Dodger Baseball, Nascar and Green Bay Packer
Football.
